Bush. Furthermore, these deficits continue for years. Not factored in is the Gulf War costs estimated at between $100-200 Million….GOP Senators are threatening 60 votes will become the standard for judicial appointments if the Estrada nomination is blocked.

In the All Politics is Local column a Muskogee OK state Senator has introduced a bill requiring the use of cloth napkins when eating BarBQ…..Despite rumors to the contrary, Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd is still contemplating running for president in 2004….57% in Germany agreed with the statement: "The United States is a nation of warmongers." Only 6% think President Bush is interested in keeping the peace, and 93% believed Bush was ready to go to war in pursuit of his interest... The U.S. has the highest incarceration rate in the World. 6.6 million people are behind bars or on probation or parole….In Manchester, New Hampshire, an Election Day operation allegedly ordered by a Republican telemarketing dealer jammed get-out-the-vote phone banks operated by the city's firefighters union and the state Democratic Party. The attack lasted long enough to hinder efforts to reach people who needed rides to the polls. State Republicans initially denied they had hired the firm, but now they're admitting they did but were unaware of what the firm was doing on their behalf. Phone jamming is a federal offense, but will this Justice Department pursue prosecution?….From the AP: President Bush is considering redefining eligibility of those children now entitled to free or discounted school lunches. His proposals would disqualify more than a fourth of the 28 million children now eating lunches….The latest Pew Poll has 42% of the Americans supporting Bush's economic policies while 44% disapprove…. The consumer confidence index fell to its lowest point in 10 years….The Denver Post reports former Senator Gary Hart is still undecided about a White House run but will probably form a committee to start raising funds soon….
