help those who are hurt by the policies that come from this government and to protect those who are targeted by people who would preach hatred. We can help by supporting or joining organizations (both civil and religious) that sponsor aid and compassion and true brotherly love for those who are left behind in today's world. It is our duty and our privilege to find ways to share love, beauty and courage when the world faces such dark times. We can offer goodness in the face of evil. And by practicing random acts of kindness we can fight against the fear and confusion sown even during the most dangerous and frightening times.
"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant."
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech, Dec. 10, 1964
