POINT OF ORDER  (CONT.)

Scheuer, the former head of the C.I.A. bin Laden unit, told MSNBC's Keith Olbermann last week that the Taliban and Al Qaeda, having regrouped in Afghanistan and Pakistan, "are going to detonate a nuclear device inside the United States."

That's "
nuclear" as in Hiroshima, Mr. President, not "nucular".

The Bush intelligence team (an oxymoron if ever there was one) is again ignoring real threats against our soil as they scurry around trumping up excuses to invade Iran. Frenzied in their efforts to build some sort of legacy for their leader besides the consensus candidate for worst president ever, the administration seems oblivious to the worsening situation in Afghanistan with the renewed and vigorous Taliban and al-Qaeda flexing their muscles just like the good old days.

Actions taken with poor planning or are myopic. That certainly sums up this administration on any front. However, actions taken with disregard for both facts and consequences which put lives at stake are damaging to the republic and ought not be tolerated by congress.
